The Show Collection
Introduction
The Shows collection in MTOW's CMS is the master repository for show-related information. It covers the entire lifecycle of a show, from announcement to archiving. The various fields within the collection will let you control visibility of info related to specific lifecycle stages of a show, such as auditions and ticket sales.
Tip: Most fields in the Shows Collection have associated help text. If you are wondering what a field is used for or how best to populate it, this help text is a great place to start. The Shows Collection is the heart of the MTOW website, and as such is the most complicated.
Visibility Controls
There are three fields that control what show information appears on the site:
Show Status
Approved: Shows in this status will not appear on the website. You can use this status to facilitate data entry before everything is ready to be announced.
Announced: Shows in this status appear as upcoming shows on the site, in the Upcoming Shows section of the homepage and on the Upcoming Shows page itself.
Current Production: The show with this status will appear in the hero section of the home page. It will no longer appear in the upcoming shows areas. There should be only one show in this status at a given time.
Run Complete: Shows with this status will appear on the Past Shows page.
Casting Status
Pending: Shows with a Casting Status of pending will not show audition or cast information on the site. This status is intended for the early stages of a show's lifecycle when audition information is not yet available..
Auditions Scheduled: Shows with this status will show audition information on the site. It is intended for shows for which auditions are scheduled or in-process.
Casted: Shows with this status will show a cast list on the site. Audition information will no longer be visible.
Ticket Availability
Unchecked: When the Tickets Available checkbox is unchecked, all buttons and links to purchase tickets will be hidden.
Checked: When the box is checked, a tickets link will appear in the header for all pages (at the desktop breakpoint only) and ticket buttons will appear on the Homepage and the Shows page for the current show.
