This scathing new comedy about small-town politics and real-world power, from the author of August: Osage County, exposes the ugliness behind some of our most closely-held American narratives while asking each of us what we would do to keep from becoming history’s losers.

AUDITIONS
Music Theatre of Wenatchee is excited to announce auditions for the 2025 winter play, The Minutes by Tracy Letts! We are offering the opportunity to audition in person or through a video submission.

Mayor Superba (Mid, 40s)
Ms. Johnson (Mid, 40s)
Mr. Blake (Younger, 30s)
Mr. Breeding (Mid, 35-45)
Mr. Hanratty (Mid, 35-45)
Mr. Assalone (Mid, 40s)
Ms. Innes (Older, 55+)
Ms. Matz (Younger, 25-35)
Mr. Oldfield (Older, 55+)
Mr. Carp (Mid, 40s)

In person auditions will be held Monday, October 27 at 6:45 pm, at the Riverside Playhouse, with possible callbacks held on Tuesday, October 28 at 7:30 pm.
For in-person auditions please have the following information ready:
Your name
The top two parts you are interested, and/or if you are willing to accept any role
A 1–2-minute response to the question: “What is your favorite thing about your community?"
We will have you read solo and with one or more others at auditions. You will have time to look over scripts at auditions or feel free to look over them before auditions so you can feel confident about your delivery at auditions.
We may ask you to read the same piece multiple times. If we do, we will ask that you take a different emotional approach with each reading so that you can show your range.
Video auditions will be accepted October 24-26. Please upload your video(s) to the following Google Drive: /drive.google.com/drive/folders/1nsrEMd6RixqyvXlRUCHG7v298bMESkvk?usp=drive_link
For online submission please submit a recording/s that contain/s the following:
Your name
The top two parts you are interested, and/or if you are willing to accept any role

Record any 2 of the 4 1-person pieces. Feel free to do an interpretive reading of them with script or copy in hand. We do not expect nor want you to feel they must be memorized. Feel free to rehearse them as many times as you need to feel confident about your delivery.
